Alma Y Lengua Bilingual Learning Center was created to help people communicate with greater confidence while building stronger connections across the community.
Meet the Founder: La Profesora Alma
La Profesora Alma lives in Nottingham, Pennsylvania and is a proud mother of two daughters. She relocated to the area from New Jersey and became involved in local volunteer and community initiatives shortly afterward.
Although she had already operated her business virtually, she recognized a need in the community for stronger connection through language and communication. This inspired her to rebrand the business and establish Alma Y Lengua as a more community-centered learning space.
Growing up in a bilingual and multicultural household gave her an early appreciation for language and Latino cultures. That experience sparked her love of language and continues to shape her work.
She earned a bachelor's degree in education from Wilmington University. She began her professional career providing bilingual services in healthcare before transitioning into education. Her professional experience includes ESL classrooms, public education, post-secondary education, and adult education. She has also taught English and Spanish courses at colleges in New Jersey.
Her mission is to create a supportive and welcoming environment where learners feel seen, respected, valued, and empowered.

Meet Our Instructor: Keivan Raika
Keivan Raika believes education is both a profession and a calling. He has more than 30 years of professional experience and a long-standing commitment to education and community service.
For more than 20 years, he supported Special Olympics and helped organize and operate the soccer competition at its annual Fall Festival.
He also served for three years as a member of the Jennersville YMCA Board of Advisors.
Raika has designed training materials and facilitated learning experiences for diverse audiences in classroom and virtual settings. His approach centers on meeting learners where they are and making content accessible and meaningful.
He holds three degrees from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Delaware:
- Associate degree in Management
- Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources Management
- Master of Management
He is fluent in English and Spanish, is Praxis II certified, speaks conversational Farsi, and lives in Pennsylvania with his wife.
